Komodo Dragon 3.2 Chess Program - Digital Download

The new Komodo Dragon 3.2 engine has gained about 20 Elo points over version 3.0 and more than 100 Elo points over version 2.0 when using a single processor core in blitz. That's a huge improvement for a program already rated over 3500 Elo. The gain is even greater (120–130 Elo points) for unbalanced openings, rare variations, or gambits.

Better Playing Strength = Faster Analysis

The absolute gain in playing strength offers real practical advantages:

• Komodo Dragon 3.2 takes only about a quarter of the time to reach the same level as Dragon 2
• Plays better chess in the same time on a single core than its predecessor did on four cores
• Improvements driven by a new NNUE net structure, new net weights, and optimized search algorithms

Freely Adjustable Playing Strength: Elo 1 to 3500

The fixed playing level scheme has been replaced with a fully adjustable Elo strength setting from 1 to 3500. Key features:

• Elo values calibrated to human rapid chess ratings for balanced games
• At reduced strength, the engine makes human-like mistakes matching the set rating level
• Settings tested and tuned against players of all levels
• Optimized at GM level in rapid chess games against GM Alex Lenderman, part of the Komodo development team
